At Living Water Uniting we have activities for adults of all ages, backgrounds and interests. From parents with young children to women’s and men’s groups; musicians, singers, crafty people, gardeners, handy persons, indoor bowlers, choristers and sporty people – there are activities that cater for everyone. A community choir based at our Broadwater Road Centre, Mansfield. No choir experience necessary, anyone who would like to learn to sing in a choir is welcome. Just come along and enjoy singing with others from your community. Practise is in the chapel on Tuesday evenings from 7 pm – 8:30 pm (except in School Holidays) with performances scheduled throughout the year.
Once a month on a Sunday evening we host local Christian musicians and bands, to provide a platform to share their original songs and tell the stories behind their songs. Although the target audience is youth & young adults, it is proving to be very popular with all ages. The night includes a meal & refreshments – entry is by donation. Monthly 6.00-8.30 pm. Younger and older women join together every Monday (excluding public holidays) for a time of sharing ideas, learning new craft, friendship & a cuppa. BYO craft and enjoy the fellowship. 9.30am-12.00pm in Starfish Room at the Broadwater Road Centre.
A community group who meets weekly to share the fun of indoor bowls and develop friendships with others who attend. Members are mainly retirees, but all ages are most welcome. Tuition given – bowls supplied. Mondays 1.15pm for a 1.30 start – 3.30 pm in the Hall at Broadwater Road Centre.
Sacred Sounds is a small singing group that meets fortnightly for practice, praise and fellowship. They have a regular commitment (every two months) to sing at the TriCare Retirement Village Friday morning Worship Service. All welcome. Fridays (fortnightly) 10.30 am in the Chapel at the Broadwater Road Centre.
Our monthly Men’s group (mostly older) meet in the Hall at the Broadwater Road Centre at 6pm for drinks and fellowship. This is followed at 6.30 pm for a sit down meal. After the meal is a guest speaker (on a variety of interesting topics). The night concludes by 8.30 pm. All men are welcome for this great night of fun and Christian mateship. 1st Thursday of the month at 6.00 pm in the Hall. Cost $10 per night.
Keenagers, is a women’s group, that meets for fellowship on the 1st Wednesday of each month either in the Chapel at the Broadwater Road Centre at 9.30 am for a cuppa and chat or for a special outing. Everyone welcome.
