Living Water Uniting Church is a multigenerational worshipping community that has been formed through the joining of Living Faith (Carina Heights) and Broadwater Road (Mansfield) Uniting Churches in Brisbane. We strive to be a welcoming and supportive for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Our church facilities are situated on Broadwater Road, Mansfield and Pine Mountain Road, Carina Heights. Both locations have good facilities that are used for a wide variety of community activities and are also hired out to both regular and one-off users.
Tim is married to Sandra (our Families pastor) and is father to 5 adult children, with 9 (soon to be 11) grandchildren. Tim started with us in February 2023 and has been in various types of ministries, including youth work, missions, chaplaincy and as a pastor, since 1982 and was ordained in the Uniting Church in 2003.
Tim has a passion for discipleship – “not just hearing but doing” (James 1:22). He enjoys sports, mostly watching nowadays, and has a doctorate about Sport and Christianity titled Redeeming Sports – Traces of the Spirit in a local sports club. He also enjoys playing guitar and ukulele and singing.
Tim is a team player and desires to provide opportunities for our church family to grow in the gifts and skills that will help us thrive in the future.
You can contact Tim through the office Monday-Thursday.
Sandra joined our team in 2024 to build our ministry with children, youth and families. She is married to Tim and loves being a mother and Nanna to her growing tribe.
Sandra and Tim have always been partners in ministry and it is great that they can now do this “officially”. Sandra has always had a passion of connecting with families with younger children and brings extensive experience in missions (YWAM) and outreach through childcare, playgroups, youth and kid’s ministry, and discipleship.
Sandra is creative and relational and heads up our wonderful Kid’s Club, Playgroup and Youth teams. Sandra works part-time (20hrs) and you can usually find her around the church from Sunday to Wednesdays.
Meet our newest team member: Rev Paula Hukehuke. Paula (pronounced Pow-la) is originally from Tonga but has lived in Australia since1988. He is married to Moala and has (had) 3 grown up children and one grandson. Paula has a Master of Arts in Theology (MATh) and has completed his Clinical Pastoral Education Studies (CPE).
He enjoys visiting people in their homes, in aged care or in hospitals. If you would like to talk with Rev Paula or have him visit, then please contact our office.
He works part-time and is available to visit Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, or you can catch him at church on Sundays.
Kylie is the heartbeat of our office. But she’s not just a smiling face. She has a Masters of Accounting and has been part of our team since 2022. She is married to Percy and has two teenage boys. She is also passionate about community work and actively involved in the Thai community. In her free time, she loves boxing, practicing
yoga, and taking walks with my dog and family.
Kylie works part-time (25 hours) in the church office Mondays – Thursdays and is happy to help you with any enquiries.
Stay up to date with everything happening in the life of our church community.
