Kids and Youth is an important focus for us as we move into future. Like all parents and grandparents, we have aspirations for our children – that they will grow up healthy, happy and find fulfilment. Jesus had a special place in his heart for children, and the Bible shows us that God called and used young people for many significant things.
Our kids are not just the church of tomorrow, but are very much part of who we are today: a multigenerational family who need each other, young and older. At Living Water we see the need to not only run programs that help children and youth develop their own faith, but also help families lay a solid foundation.
Our activities include kids activities on Sundays and Youth Group, but we also connect with many families in our community through our playgroups and holiday activities.
We cater for our kids every week at our Broadwater Road Centre! From pre-prep children to early High School age, our children join for worship with their families at church each Sunday (which includes a special kid’s spot each week) and then go out for teaching and activities during sermon time.
On the second Sunday each month (during the 9.30 am service) our Kid’s Club team put on a great program of games, activities, craft, songs and stories for children pre-prep to Primary.
Our children, youth (and some adults) make up a puppet team that do songs and plays as part of Family services and special events. It’s creative and a lot of fun. Why not give it a try? Check with the office for more details.
On the last Sunday before the end of each school term we have an all age Family Service at our 9.30am service at the Broadwater Road Centre. The Family Service is led by Pastor Sandra and her Kid’s Zone team and features the creative input of our children and young people, with puppets, songs, plays and activities that engage all ages. After the service we share either a special morning tea or lunch that helps us all get to know each other a little better.
Little Starfish Playgroup is for children aged 0 to 5 years (pre-schoolers). The Little Starfish Playgroup team is led by Pastor Sandra and her team of volunteers. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment for parents and carers on Tuesday mornings from 9.00am to 11.15am in the Starfish Room at our Broadwater Road Centre. The children’s activities are provided for at a weekly cost $5 per family (and yes, we take electronic payments). Please our Office to check for availability of a place.

We have also recently moved to providing a “holiday playgroup” during school holidays, where parents can also bring older siblings for the morning activities as well. Talk to Pastor Sandra about when the next one is on!
Youth Group is finally here. Sunday afternoons every second week 4.30pm-6pm at the hall at our Broadwater Road Centre. Talk to Pastor Sandra or contact the office for this terms program and further information.
