Over the next few weeks, our Thrift Shop, which has been in the Mt Gravatt Central commercial area for more than 20 years, is setting up as a temporary “pop up shop” in the corner of out auditorium at Mansfield, on the verandah side, overlooking Broadwater Road and the Mansfield State High School. The shop will open for business at this new location on 1st June.
This is the first stage of an exciting new project. We are currently working with BCC, builders and Town Planners on the construction of our Mission Hub – which will include a much larger Thrift Shop & sorting room & a coffee shop. We anticipate the project to take 12 months to complete. In the meantime, the Thrift Shop will operate from the verandah and pop-up shop space.
The move has necessitated some changes to the auditorium seating – and while we will not be able to house very large groups during this period, the auditorium can still seat well over 200 people for services & events.
